What Does Private Charter Mean?
A private charter means the vessel and our experienced skipper are exclusively yours for the duration of the booking. There are no other passengers. The itinerary, pace, and focus of the day are agreed with you in advance and delivered around your group’s interests.
This is the fundamental difference from joining a shared charter: you are not adapting to other people’s preferences, adjusting your schedule around strangers, or limiting what you want to do because someone else has different plans.
What Can a Private Charter Include?
- Fishing: reef, wreck, or pelagic fishing targeting species from pollack and bream through to conger, blue shark, and in season, tuna. Tackle and bait included.
- Diving and snorkelling: Lundy Island seal swims, reef diving for qualified SCUBA divers, or guided snorkel sessions over shallow reef. All kit available on request.
- Coastal exploration: circumnavigation of Lundy Island, exploring the sea caves, cliffs, and wildlife of the North Devon coast at your own pace.
- Combination days: a morning of fishing followed by an afternoon anchored at Lundy, for example. The flexibility of private charter means the day can be as varied as you want it to be.

Stag and Hen Parties
A day offshore on a private charter is one of the most memorable and genuinely different stag or hen activities available in the South West. Fishing, cold water, fresh air, and the kind of experience nobody else in the group will have done before.
Corporate and Team Events
A day on the water removes the usual office dynamics and creates a genuinely different environment for team building, client entertainment, or reward days. We can accommodate corporate groups from small teams up to the vessel maximum and will work with you on the format of the day.
Family Celebrations and Anniversaries
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and family reunion days have all been celebrated on private charters with us. There is something about being offshore together that strips things back to what matters.
How Many People Can We Bring?
Our vessels accommodate groups of up to 10 passengers depending on the trip type. For diving and specialist activities, maximum numbers are lower. Contact us with your group size and preferred activities and we will advise on the best vessel and format.
How to Book a Private Charter
Private charters require advance booking, particularly for peak summer weekends in July and August. We will discuss your requirements, agree an itinerary, and confirm the booking with a deposit.
